Carrie Underwood Celebrates No. 1 at CMA

On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Country Music Association hosted a celebration with ASCAP and BMI to honor Carrie Underwood’s most recent No. 1 song, “See You Again,” co-written with songwriters Hillary Lindsey and David Hodges. The song from Underwood’s most recent album, 2012’s Blown Away, is her ninth No. 1 as a songwriter and 18th overall. For Lindsey, it is her 12th No. 1 song and marked Hodges’ very first No. 1.

“See You Again” was originally written with the possibility of being featured on the soundtrack for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. While Underwood, Lindsey, and Hodges ended up choosing a different song for the movie, Underwood decided to put the song on her album, Blown Away.
