REVIVER RECORDS: CMA’S NEWEST PLATINUM MEMBER
Founded in 2009, CMA is pleased to welcome New Jersey-based Reviver Records as its newest CMA Platinum-level member.
CEO David Ross formed the company to release their initial charity album, “Let Us In Nashville” featuring a variety of Country artists performing their interpretations of songs written (and co-written) by Sir Paul McCartney. The album’s cover was a painting by Peter Max of Linda McCartney, who passed away of breast cancer in 1998.
“The mission of Reviver can be culled into a credo the company lives by, “Music That Gives Back” and The Women And Cancer Fund, established in the memory of Linda McCartney is our charity focus,” Ross explained.
Since their initial release, Reviver has expanded its “Country-fied” charity-driven music projects. Ross noted, “Our strength and the label’s passion lies in Country Music primarily. One of the artists that emerged from (the) “LUI Nashville” album was Samantha Landrum.”
Reviver has been working ever since to build Samantha’s career. Samantha, 19, grew up in Laurel, Miss. Her first single, “Hometown” went Top 40 and was the most-requested video on CMT’s “Pure Country 12-Pack Countdown” for three weeks running. Since then, Samantha, in concert, has opened for Lee Brice, Kellie Pickler, Travis Tritt, Phil Vassar and Craig Morgan to name a few.

Ross said he signed Landrum because “not only did she have a great personality, her voice is golden and she has admirable Southern grounded family values and character. Another pretty girl singing Country is just not enough nowadays.”
Landrum will be releasing her first album in mid-March 2014, appropriately titled, “Hometown” with support touring now being planned. Not to sit still, Samantha is already writing new songs for her next Reviver album.
“Samantha moved to Nashville last year and it was a good move,” Ross said. “Sometimes she misses her family –she gets homesick, but the business is here and so is her musical inspiration. When I asked her what she wanted to call her album, Samantha said without hesitation, “Hometown” as a tribute to her new home, Nashville, and to her Mississippi roots.”
Reviver Records is so pleased and honored to have established their Platinum membership with the CMA.
“Joining the CMA is an essential and fulfilling achievement for Reviver,” Ross said. “Nashville has become our home away from home and with the release in 2013 “Let Us In Americana”, we affirmed our affiliation and our direction. Samantha’s “Hometown” will give us three-for-three – all Country, all in a row.”
