C2C FEST 2014: COUNTRY BREAKING THROUGH IN THE UK
UK’s press is buzzing about Country Music following London’s second annual C2C Country to Country festival, which included performances at the world-famous O2 Arena with top stars, including Dierks Bentley, Martina McBride, the Zac Brown Band, the Dixie Chicks, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley.
Major UK publications such as The Mirror, The Telegraph, and The London Evening Standard have given positive reviews. Both days of the festival were sold out, and the event had a major increase in attendance from last year.
This year’s C2C festival was a two-day event at the O2 Arena in London on March 15-16. It included high-energy, sold-out nightly Country concerts on the O2’s main stage, in-depth panel discussions about Nashville, Country Music and CMA’s marketing efforts, and a marketplace full of Country Music merchandise.
Fans also had the first-ever look at the world premiere of Johnny Cash’s new music video for “She Used to Love Me a Lot,” which was made to accompany an album of 12 lost Johnny Cash recordings releasing later this month called Out Among the Stars.
Due to the enormous success and high growth of C2C, the festival will return in 2015 to London and Dublin’s O2 Arena on March 7-8. Early Bird tickets for C2C 2015 in London go on sale this Friday, March 21, at 9 AM.
