DON PEDIGO BIDS HIS GRETSCH GOODBYE IN SONG

When his beloved Gretsch guitar was stolen from a local luthier shop, and when all efforts to track it down dead-ended, Don Pedigo did what any young Nashville singer, songwriter and finger-picker would do: He turned his loss into a song.

What’s extraordinary about “Stolen Guitar” is its absence of anger. More than a farewell to a friend, it’s an expression of concern and love. Remarkably, Pedigo addresses the thief directly in this song, but it speaks just as clearly to anyone who has lost a favorite instrument.
