Although there is no barking of auctioneers, the CMA Celebrity Auction Silent Auction reveals just as much spirit as this high-energy event includes items generously donated by singers, athletes and television stars. CMA volunteers greet Fan Fair X attendees as they arrive, help guide them around the booth to auction items from their favorite artists and educate them on the bidding process.

Here at Booth #230 prize packs, signed guitars, merchandise, pictures and a signed lyric section adorn the tables. Sprawled on the last table are hand-written lyrics for “The River,” “Merry Go ’Round,” “The House That Built Me,” “Carrying Your Love with Me” and “I Hold On.” These manuscripts are among the most personal additions to the auction, with a low starting bid of $40.

At the opposite price range is the chance of a video gamer’s lifetime, to be included as a player in Madden 2015 that comes out this August. Starting price is $2,500.

There’s plenty of apparel too, whether it was a pair of Wrangler jeans signed by George Strait, a signed ball cap from Thomas Rhett or T-shirts from Dierks Bentley and Garth Brooks.

Tania Vanhoorn, 20,Chicago, Illinois, was browsing the memorabilia at the auction, looking for stuff from her favorite artist, Chase Rice. This is her fifth time attending CMA Fest and she is most excited to see Rhett perform as she credits coming back year after year to the variety of new artists featured every year.

The CMA Celebrity Auction serves an honorable cause. All the proceeds go to support the CMA Foundation to help fund CMA’s Keep The Music Playing program, which helps foster and grow music education programs. This annual celebrity auction has raised over $250,000 to date.

Whether you have money burning a hole in your pocket or just want to get a closer look into the lives of your favorite artists, the CMA Celebrity Auction is an excellent place to view items that will soon be part of Country Music history.
