ABC ROCKS THE BLOCK
The ABC Block party happens every year at the CMA Music Festival on Fridays and Saturdays. Providing fans with free entertainment, up close and personal on Broadway St. between First and Second Avenues, the ABC Block Party is what experts may call a magnet.
Anything can happen at the ABC Block Party. This year, Cracker Jack’D allowed fans to show off their upper arm strength at a dunking booth that makes a Cracker Jack beauty to fall in a tank of rubber duckies. What’s better than that? How about contest giveaways for Beats by Dre and concert tickets to a few lucky winners?
The ABC Block Party also offered opportunities for fans to give their own performances. AT&T U-verse provided the ultimate karaoke experience on The Buckle Stage. Three participants, Gabbie Brown, 21, of Columbus, Ohio, Danielle Young, 23, of La Grange Park, Illinois, and Carlee Wieser, 22, from Schererville, Indiana, sang Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” Letting their hair blow in the wind, wearing sunglasses and sundresses, the trio made passersby stop and listen to what they had to say.
