SWEET TREATS FROM LADY ANTEBELLUM
“Thanks for 300 Webisodes!”
Early-bird CMA Music Festival attendees found this appreciation on lollipops in assorted flavors made by Nashville Sweets and left for fans attending Lady Antebellum Q & A session this morning.
People ran to grab seats to watch the trio in a Q&A session on the CMA Close Up. When Lady A’s “We Own The Night” began to play over the P.A., fans clapped excitedly to the beat in anticipation of the six-time CMA Award-winning group’s arrival to the stage.
Radio personality Bobby Bones introduced Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott and then narrated the Q&A, asking eight questions about their new album, a few fun facts and their video for their new single “Bartender.”
“This song has only been out, what, three weeks and you already know it!” said a delighted Kelley, after hearing attendees sing along.
The group also previewed the single “Long Stretch of Love” andsang crowd favorites “Compass,” “Downtown” and “Need You Now.”
There was laughter as well. When Bones asked each member to name his or her favorite Country and non-traditional artist as a kid, Haywood replied, “Beyoncé for both!” He also announced that he and his wife are expecting a baby in September. “Yes we’re having a baby and an album in the fall”, said Haywood. Kelley then added, “He has been reading what-to-do-when-you’re-expecting kinds of books.”
Before leaving the stage, Scott told fans to look under their seats because one of them had tickets to the Sunday night LP Field concert. The lucky winner, Jackie from New Jersey, was allowed to join Lady A on the stage to help finish their performance of “Downtown.”
