NEW CMA MEMBER: SAMMY ARRIAGA
CMA welcomes one of its newest members, Sammy Arriaga, who stopped by June 18, 2014 to sign up for CMA membership.
A Miami, Fla. native, Arriaga moved to Nashville in 2011, and has since been touring and gaining popularity among Country fans. With a recently-released single “Lighter Up,” he talks about his natural ability and passion for singing, and starting at the age of 14, he began to teach himself to play guitar. “Picking up the guitar inspired me to learn more about the Country genre,” says Arriaga. “And I quickly fell in love with it.” So much so that Arriaga plugged the famed Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge into his GPS and drove straight to Nashville.
Arriaga’s new single, “Lighter Up,’ was released in partnership with Eckrich, and in conjunction with the Eckrich Mobile Sampling Tour that supports up-and-coming Country artists. Eckrich is part of the John Morrell Food Group, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods. The company is releasing a series of songs from his EP over the next few months on the first of each month, accompanied by a live acoustic video of each song.
“Lighter Up” is the first to become available as a free download on Eckrich’s social media platforms. Fans can download the single by liking Eckrich’s Facebook page here.
