NEW CMA MEMBER: JOHNNY ORR
CMA welcomes one of its newest members, Raleigh, N.C. native Johnny Orr, who stopped by June 25, 2014 to sign up for CMA membership.
Formed in 2007, Johnny Orr and his band have been steadily gaining popularity as Country artists since 2012, when they won the American Country Star talent competition in Nashville. They’ve opened for some of Country’s top acts, including Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Gretchen Wilson, Parmalee, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr, Jason Michael Carroll and more.
Now, they’re taking their career to the next level with their new EP, Down South.
Johnny talks about his passion for writing songs about the everyday man and woman and their trials and triumphs in life. “Those are the kind of songs I love the most, and what we deliver to our fans,” he says.
