The new SEC Network will launch on Aug. 14 with the first of four documentaries about all 14 colleges in the Southeastern Conference
“The Stars Are Aligned” profiles these schools through recollections by famous alumni, who spill their emotions and explain why they’ll never forget where they came from.
Charlie Daniels, Darius Rucker, Ashley Judd, Melissa Joan Hart, Emmitt Smith, among others to be part of these four installments in the SEC Storied documentary series on the new SEC Network. This new 24/7 sports network launches August 14 and operated by ESPN. In “The Stars Are Aligned,” 14 famous figures—each representing a different college in the Southeastern Conference—spill their emotions and explain why they’ll never forget where they came from.
Two Country notables are included in this series: Charlie Daniels (Tennessee) and Darius Rucker (South Carolina). Other schools are represented by James Carville (LSU), James Dufner (Auburn), Carl Edwards (Missouri), Willie Geist (Vanderbilt), Melissa Joan Hart (Alabama), Ashley Judd (Kentucky), Ralphie May (Arkansas), Jonathan Papelbon (Mississippi State), Rick Perry (Texas A&M), Amy Robach (Georgia), Emmitt Smith (Florida) and Shepard Smith (Ole Miss).
“The Stars Are Aligned,” directed by Andy Billman, will air Thursday, Aug. 14 at 9 PM ET on the SEC Network.
