Country fans in the U.K. were treated this past week to over-the-top Country performances with hit artists and songwriters at C2C, Country To Country.

Heralded as the largest Country Music festival in the U.K. — C2C is presented by AEG Europe and SJM Concerts in association with CMA with more than 30,000 Country fans attending a weekend of live performances from the biggest names in Country Music, alongside emerging artists from the U.K. and Europe.

CMA’s popular CMA Songwriters Series helped kick off the festival with a nighttime concert Friday, March 6 in London at indigo at The O2. Hosted by Kix Brooks, the concert featured Jessi Alexander, Brandy Clark, Sam Palladio and Jon Randall. The international debut of CMA Songwriters Series was in London in 2012. The series showcases the best of Country’s mega-hit songwriters, who line up on stage and, with guitar in hand, take turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them in the raw as originally written.

CMA also sponsored an acoustic performance and “CMA Talk” with Sam Palladio, the British actor and musician who plays “Gunnar” on the ABC Television Network series “Nashville”; CMA screenings in Cineworld at The O2 of the CMA Songwriters Series Public Television specials featuring Dierks Bentley and Lady Antebellum, along with CMA’s own annual ABC special, 2014’s “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock”; autograph signings in the CMA booth in Town Square.
