Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert received four nominations. Sam Hunt, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, and Chris Stapleton each received three nominations. CMA industry voters also gave their support to Country Music Hall of Fame members Garth Brooks, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.

For the first time in the history of the CMA Awards, four acts – Kelsea Ballerini, Hunt, Maddie & Tae, and Stapleton – debut in both New Artist and categories for Female Vocalist of the Year; Single and Song of the Year; Vocal Duo of the Year; and Male Vocalist and Album of the Year (respectively).

“The 49th Annual CMA Awards” will be hosted for the eighth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood and broadcast live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 4 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.

For the 10th time, the announcement of the final nominees in five of the 12 CMA Awards categories was made live on ABC News’ “Good Morning America” with two-time nominee Ballerini and music icon Steven Tyler delivering the news from the heart of New York City’s Times Square. Following “Good Morning America,” Ballerini and Tyler announced seven categories on GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo and ABCnews.com.
