One of CMA’s newest members, Claire Petrie, recently stopped by CMA’s Nashville offices to sign up for membership while promoting her single, “He Would Be King,” featuring Country star T. Graham Brown, and while promoting her new album, The One.

Petrie, who was raised in a large musical family in Saratoga Springs, New York, says that music has been a constant companion in her life. When she was in her early teens, the family’s six children together performed in a family band, six of their children. That experience was the foundation for Claire’s comfort and love of performing. “My mom was a classical pianist and accomplished drummer,” she says. “Dad was very bluesy on the piano and they passed down their love of music to us.”
